"Bad Year for Tomatoes" Opens February 24th

Don’t miss the opening of the Winder-Barrow Community Theatre 2012 Main Stage Season at the Colleen O. Williams Theater inside the Winder Cultural Arts Center. “A Bad Year for Tomatoes” by John Patrick will open on Friday night, February 24th at 7:30 pm. It will run for two weekends. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday matinees start at 3:00 pm. This show begins a year of comedies being presented by WBCT, and you will laugh out loud at the antics of the characters.
This is the story of Myra Marlowe who leases a house and starts to write her autobiography. When the nosy neighbors become a problem, she invents a mad, homicidal sister who is kept locked in an upstairs room but occasionally escapes long enough to scare off uninvited visitors. The ruse works well until the local handyman develops an affection for “Sister Sadie” and some of the more officious ladies decide it is their Christian duty to save the poor demented Sadie’s soul. When the “sister” disappears, the sheriff joins in the uproarious doings. Come and join the fun.

Credit and debit card orders can be made through City Hall and will have a 3% usage fee. Adults are $12.50 in advance ($15.00 at the door), and seniors, students, and teachers are $10.00 in advance ($12.00 at the door).
Season Tickets are available until this show closes on March 4th, and they can be purchased at both locations. Adults are $50 for the year, and Seniors, students and teachers are $40 for the year.
