Winder-Barrow Community Theatre is proud to announce a special presentation of “Delval Divas” that will open on Friday, September 16th. It will run for two weekends with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 and the Sunday show at 3:00 pm. Tickets for this special event are only $10 regardless of age and can be purchased at Winder City Hall (770-867-3106) or Pam Veader’s State Farm Insurance Office at 41 S. Center Street in Winder (770-867-1679).
This show is a great comedy that everybody will enjoy, and all profit from this show will be split between two projects benefiting children. Part of the money will be donated to the John Hasty Memorial Band Scholarship at Russell Middle School where he was the first band director. This scholarship fund sends a band student each year to a special camp, and his wife, Elinor, is one of the Divas in the show. The other part of the money will be used by WBCT to help fund their children’s events such as drama Camp and the children’s shows.
As a special treat, there will be door prizes given away at each of the 6 shows. Local businesses have donated gift baskets and gift certificates for food, massages, haircuts, wreaths, etc. As of this time, there are door prizes donated by Kathy Talbert (Statham Mary Kay Consultant), Chanin Watkins (Winder Mary Kay Consultant), Principal’s Palette, Head Hunters Hair Salon, Dooley’s Southern Stone Pizza Kitchen, Golden Corral, Touch Therapy of Georgia, Mike & Val's Restaurant, and Mulberry Hill Interiors. Audience members will be eligible to put their name in the drawing each night, and several gifts will be given each day of the show.
Don’t miss this special treat. Girls, bring some friends and come have some fun. Even though this is a great “chick flick”, you men will also enjoy the show.
